Agricultural literacy, understanding
our link to the earth's bounty, knowing where our food comes from
and how it is grown is so very important for children today because:
- obesity now outranks tobacco as the nations top health risk
- children
need to make smart decisions about their nutrition and their environment.
- spending time at our farm allows
children to experience growing and harvesting their food first
hand, utilizing their science, math, social, and motor skills working
in cooperative learning groups, and learning responsible behavior.
Our farm is a fun, friendly, safe, and peaceful place.
If you would like to schedule a farm visit or have our farmers come to your school - please leave us a message at
860-977-6948 or send us an email.
